Conversation Day 2

1)I do not have a favourite hairstyle. In fact, as long as i get my hair done and ensure its neat and short, i will be satisfied. As i love doing sports, my hair is often short. This makes me feel cooling and i will not feel too hot under the sun.I do not say that i love going to the hairdresser and neither do i hate to go to the hairdresser.I have different feelings everytime i visit a hairdresser.Though i look neat and feel cooling after getting my hair done, i would feel weird with the new hair cut. This may be due to the sudden change in hairstyle. However, hairstyle is not very important to me.Though i sometimes show a person's personality or otherwise, hairstyle only make a diff to the outer beauty, the appearance.Character is far more important. Most of the time, appearance only gives first impression but in the long run, people look at one's character. Thus hairstyle is not very important.

2)CCTV was initially installed for pratection against thief or any other crime. It serve as a watchmen in public areas with rewinding of tape available to see what had happened to a certain area at any time. However, it acts as a spying machinery and spy on every action of the passers-by.Thus, when too many CCTVs are installed in an area, people will feel uncomfortable instead of being safe.Though the device is a great help and is able to stop lots of crime from happening due to its presence, it sometimes gives an uncomfortable feel to us. It almost capture every action one is doing. Thus, we felt restricted and being watched. In overall, the purpose of installing CCTVs still applies and it works very well. Thus making us feel secured and safe.

picture discussion day 2

This picture depicts a salon full of trainees. I could see that they are trainees because every single hairdresser is practising their hari cutting skill on a model of their own. They seemed to be foreigners who tries to gain another skill in singapore to earn a living. This may be their first training day or their first encounter with the model. The woman on the left is concentrated while the other two on her right seemed to be enjoying their time with the models. From their expression, it seemed to be that this is their first time handling hair of a model. However, the second lady from the right side of the picture seem to be very experienced. From the way she handle the wig and the beautiful smile on her face that show confidence, i can deduce that she may be the instructor in the salon. The trainees on the right are cutting the hair of the male models while the trainees of the left is handling the female models. They might be doing a swap over after some time. Before this picture was taken, the instructor probably was demonstrating how to handle the hair of the models and brief on the students on what to do later. This is a good practice for them so that they can gain experience from this encounter before attempting on the real humans. If i were the coach, i would be walking around to provide help and suggestions to the students to guide them along.
